This cool relic arrived in the mail today. It is a Scout Leaders open collar belted jacket. The Scoutmaster patch dates from 1920 – 1937. The button are made by Sigmund Eisner and I assume the jacket was also, but the tag has been removed from inside the jacket. The brass BSA Monogram and Troop 29 Numbers are made of Brass and have a screw back.
Below is an example of an error patch on these Region 6 1969 National Jamboree contingent patches. One has the state of Georgia missing. I don’t believe this is a rare one, but just an example of a true error vs. a thread break or some other mishap during production.
